YOGA 101 with Marjorie Olsen

Are you new to yoga and want to learn how to begin a personal practice? Please join Yoga 101, a 4-week workshop designed to introduce the basics of yoga from the ground up. Explore foundational poses, modifications to make postures more accessible, and various breathing and centering techniques. The supportive environment will also introduce the flow of our Gentle Yoga classes, allowing you to transition to weekly classes with confidence and ease. Our 725 sq. ft. Lotus Yoga Studio is located in beautiful downtown Hartford, WI with convenient parking. Yoga & Qi Gong classes available via walk-in and punch pass. You must be a Wellness Club Memberto attend classes, see practitioners and enjoy walk-in therapies. Membership is $5 for a one-week membership or a one-time initiation fee of $20 and you receive a free walk-in therapy.

Marjorie Olsen

Marjorie is a 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher, Certified Personal Trainer, and STOTT Pilates Instructor. She specializes in teaching core yoga and gentle yoga; both disciplines are designed to reduce upper and lower-back pain, develop and maintain proper posture, and increase students' sense of ease and well-being. Participants learn to honor their bodies' flexibility, balance, and strength. Marjorie believes yoga is a way for students to treat themselves to movement and strives to empower students to develop and maintain their own healing process. Private yoga sessions available.

Lauren Anderson

Lauren is a 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher and a "breathe in life as you go" type. Her class style will always include breath and proper alignment at its core. Incorporating yoga philosophy, you'll practice taking time for yourself so that you can get the most out of each day on the mat and in life! Off the mat, you'll find Lauren enjoying bicycling, running, hiking (often joined by her son James and dog Baxter), and any activity that gets her mindful movement outdoors.

Chrissy Backler

Chrissy has been practicing yoga for over 10 years and is a 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher. She specializes in teaching her own blend of Vinayasa/Power and enjoys developing a deep relationship with her students to explore yogic principles of living. She believes that yoga is much more than an exercise, but a way of life and opportunity to evolve in body, mind and spirit. Private yoga sessions available.

Tammy Nelson - Qi Gong

Tammy is a certified Qi Gong teacher. She studied Qi Gong for three years with the school of Lotus Nei Gong. Qi Gong uses very light and gentle movements that have influence. In addition, she continues to enhance her knowledge by retreating for a full month every year to work with master Qi Gong teachers. Qi Gong:
